Dear Tomorrow,
Let me be honest with you. I don't know what you hold for
me. I don't know where or how I will be. Wait, I don't even know whether I will
even see you. Yet, I wait for you. I want you to be there. All I can say is
that I live with hope.
Each new day that I get to live was you on the previous day.
When you arrive, you no longer remain tomorrow but you become today. Why then
did I choose to write to you and not to today? It is because you symbolize
hope. Today is very important but so are you. I am not the kind of person who
fails to enjoy today worrying about you. But then I am not the kind of person
who will not care at all about you. I know that you may not be good as today
and hence I have to be prepared to face you. I may not be happy or healthy or
wealthy as I am today but if I am prepared maybe I can face you.
On the other hand, today may not be the best of my days. I
would have not done well enough in my work or I may have fallen or I may be
having a miserable day. In situations like this, it is you who give me hope
that things will be better. With your arrival, hopefully things will change for
the better.
“Tomorrow. The word
hangs in the air for a moment, both a promise and a threat. Then it floats away
like a paper boat, taken from her by the water licking at her ankles.”

You hold promises and threats. While I may live with the
hope that you will arrive, I don’t like putting off things that I can do today
just because you are there. So much time, so many valuable moments are lost in
the hope that they can be done when you arrive. With the hope that you hold,
you may also disappoint. Like everything, you too have your good side and your
bad side. Well the optimist that I am, I choose to look at the good side. I’m
just wishing that I’d be able to see you. Thanks for being there.
Yours hopefully,

I'm taking up the #AtoZChallenge and my theme is "A letter for a letter". So make sure you read
all the letters from A to Z.
