Dear Imagination,
What would I do without you? Sometimes I imagine- wait there I go
again, what would it be like if you weren’t there? But come to think of it,
thinking of what is you weren’t there is proof that you are there. Trust me you
make our lives interesting- sometimes good, sometimes bad, but nevertheless
interesting.
You take me to places that do not exist, make me think of
scenarios that can never be true. Sometimes when I am lost doing things that
are so routine and I need a break, I go wherever you take me. To that lovely
corner of the universe whose existence only you and I know about, to the
beautiful creatures there that talk to me, to the delicious food that can only
be found there, you take me. When I go crazy debugging a piece of code, you
lighten my mind thinking what if all the variables and constants would go in
search of that missing semicolon. Or when I was just not able to play a chord
correctly on the piano, you would make me think that my fingers would be guided
to the keys and I would play magical melodies just like that. Or when my mom
used to complain about my not good enough cooking skills, you make me think
about magic which would make the dish I wanted appear just by my mere thought.
That is what I said- you make my life interesting!
"Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination
will take you everywhere."
- Albert Einstein
You have indeed taken me places. I am glad
that I have you. My profession runs and evolves because of you. What if people
would have never imagined cars running with a piece of code? That wouldn’t be
reality now and in all likelihood I would be jobless. And you are so important
in the other thing that I love doing- writing! I would not be able to weave
stories if not for you; the emotions that flow deeply in my poetry couldn’t be
put in words if not for you. Sometimes when you aren’t around, my mind goes
blank. Those innovative things I come up with are all because of you.
Thanks for being there in my life. I just
don’t know how I would live without you.
Imaginatively yours,
Reema
I'm taking up the #AtoZChallenge and my theme is "A letter for a letter". So make sure you read
all the letters from A to Z.
