I was lost in thoughts deep,
Wondering about life's journey whose track I find hard to keep.
I was given wings so that I could fly high,
But I thought I was caught in a trap even before I could try.
Carried a big burden of uneasy feelings as I walked through life's garden,
It would have been light as a feather if I'd only granted pardon.
I'd run when I'd see a rainbow in search of the pot of gold,
But failed to see every jewel I was given before I was too old.
But may be I still have time to go home,
With the realization that life always has its arms open wide for this daughter who'd gone to roam.
