A smile and a simple, heartfelt Thank you! This can work wonders. It is
often said that one must not expect anything in return for the good that
one does. But does that mean we don't have to thank others for
something that they have done for us? Definitely not! We may not be in a
position to give great thank you gifts and sometimes that is not
Sometimes we take people for granted that we fail to appreciate the
things that they do for us. Many times haven't we thought that it is
someone's duty to help us? We have people around us who help us in ways
known or sometimes unknown and make our lives easier. But we don't
Take for example mothers. They do so much for us. They may be tired or
sick, yet their first concern is their children. How many times have we
said "Thank You, Ma" ? Or maybe a friend who helped you better when you
were feeling low? Have you thanked them? Or maybe a stranger who helped
you with something.
We may sometimes not feel like thanking others for something which
they've done. But put yourself in their shoes or think of the times when
you have helped others. Wouldn't you feel good when someone thanked you
wholeheartedly for something you helped them with me? Didn't that smile
and thank you make your day? The same goes for everyone! And sometimes
we don't know whom we'll need in our life. And sometimes it is too late
to express our gratitude. It's not in big things that we find joy. It's
little things that matter. An attitude of gratitude can make the world a
better place to live in.
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into
enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order,
confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a
home, a stranger into a friend."
Whatever happens in our lives, happens for a reason. We need to be
thankful for the experiences life gives us. And most of all we need to
thank the almighty for giving us the best gift ever- Our life! Begin
your day with a few words of gratitude to your creator, close it with
P.S: I thank everyone who has helped me in some way and have made my life better. People known and unknown!
